The Holy Grail

Can the Holy Grail, the cup Jesus drank from be a symbolism for something else?

I think so. The Holy Grail is said to give life, and have miraculous healing powers.

Let's for a moment assume that the Holy Grail is a question. Not just any old question, but a transformative question. A question with many answers. A question which one has to drink from (contemplate) every day.

"How can I best serve the All today?"

The question is like a cup, the answer is like the drink. And this particular cup never ceases to provide more to drink, nor does it fail to heal and give life.

Seen in this way, we can also see that we drink from many cups every day. Not all of them are "Holy", not all of them lead to life. The opposite of this question would be "How can I best serve myself today?" and it leads to the opposite, which is sickness and death.

In the world around us today we see the result of many people drinking from the wrong cup. Climate change, sickness, loneliness.. just to name a few of the consequences. What Israel is doing in Gaza today, is the result of drinking from the wrong cup.

Yet, there are some who drink from the right cup. That is grounds for hope.
