Hufflepuff and Hell
Hell looks like heaven to those who delight in evil.
The implications of that are profound. There is no hell in the traditional sense. Those who choose what we call “evil” would prefer that world to one built on kindness and love. And those who genuinely value kindness and love are never in danger of ending up in hell.
Heaven and hell become mirrors of what you actually desire. Wherever you go, assuming you go anywhere at all, it will feel like heaven to you. "Evil" people may feel constrained and threatened by the idea of ending up in heaven in the same way most of us fear going to hell.
And that removes cruelty and threat from the idea entirely.
Does that make this world a Sorting Hat? "This one belongs in Hufflepuff!"
