Asking a Christian "Who in this world would you condemn to eternal torment?" might actually make them think.

Because if they really sit with it, they might find that the answer is no one. So why do they think their saviour is less merciful than themselves?

And if their saviour is less merciful than they themselves are, why do they follow?

The answer of course is fear.
