I once "understood" as a "flash of insight": Consciousness, is absolutely fundamental because it is what exists when nothing at all exists. And in consciousness, everything exists. Nothing then is everything and everything is nothing. That is the basic understanding behind non-duality.

Understand that I use the word "exist" here, because I do not have other words that better describe it. In fact existence does not exist. It "is/is-not" at the same time. It is a binary: "zero and one, which arise together in unity and therefore is One", expressing itself as .. all of this which we call the world. Sound, smell, touch, thought, nature, silence.. everything is "it".

This binary is what we traditionally call "duality". Light and darkness. Good and evil. Life and death. All of the seeming opposites that are secretly united.

This basic "flash of insight" is behind almost everything I write. This "Alpha and Omega", which is existence itself - moves me to write. To understand. To learn from what I write at the same time.

To what end? I do not know.

But this understanding does not lend itself well to violence, exploitation and division.
